The Simbang Gabi has finally come to an end talking about the song of Zacharias titled Benedictus which means “The Telling of Kindness”. This is why Fr. Eymard Gayotin talks about the goodness of the Lord and why we should feel it despite the pandemic and the struggles of the world.
The pandemic and recent typhoon left the people feeling down and unsatisfied because they have lost a lot and weren’t able to receive what they wanted for Christmas. Because of that, Fr. Eymard reminded the people how kind and generous God is to everyone.
“The reason why sometimes we aren’t able to see and appreciate the blessings of the Lord is because we are blinded by our wishes and forget what the Lord wants and plans for us.”
He also said that problems are always constant but we shouldn’t forget about the things that is being the source of our happiness because that is a blessing to the Lord for us. Despite the devastations of the world, God keeps us safe and keeps us unharmed.
Being happy and thankful comes with giving and being generous to others. Share the blessing that we receive from the Lord to other people. Keep it in heart and mind that this Christmas, Jesus is coming into our lives and will dwell in it, and that it is our mission in life to give to everybody.
