This Christmas, we need Y.A.K.A.P, Fr. Ferdie

Hundreds of parishioners attended the Christmas Eve Mass presided by our parish priest, Reverend Father Ferdinand C. Delatado.

A play of 'Panunuluyan' was led by the members of Parish Youth Ministry to reenact the journey of Mary and Joseph before the birth of Jesus.

Marikina Mayor Marcelino Teodoro together with his family was given the honor to carry the baby Jesus in the manger and light the candle that symbolizes that Christ is born.

In Fr.Ferdie's homily, he said that we should live a life with the acronym of YAKAP: Y for Yearn, We should yearn for a better version of ourselves, change our negative attitudes and aim to grow and learn. A for Act, The Lord will not act if you are not doing anything. The Lord helps those people who help themselves. Do not be discouraged, strive for development. You can stumble if you have problems, but the only solution to that is for you to get up again. K for Keep moving, to see the bigger picture. Life consists of different stories. Sometimes we are happy, sometimes we are sad, but despite everything, you should continue to live on. You can do everything if you seek strength from Him. A for Adventure seeker, You cannot get everything swiftly, and you need to work hard for it. Life is a journey and it always teaches us something in our every experience. Lastly, P for Pray. Pray as if everything depends on Him. Don't forget to thank the Lord for the blessings you have received.

Remember that Christmas is about Christ's death and resurrection. This Christmas, Christ is our savior and He is with us. No one will celebrate Christmas with sadness because everyone will feel His love in our hearts.
