In line with the celebration of his 40th birthday, Rev. Fr. Ferdinand Delatado invited many priests from the Diocese of Antipolo to join him in a concelebrated mass with Rev. Fr. Glenn Relucio, O.P., Ph.D. , and a Kumpisalang Bayan that followed.
"Today, we celebrate the day of thanksgiving, celebration, looking back in the past, and a new day of beginning."
In the homily of Fr. Glenn, he reminded everyone that the Lord never forgets. Whenever we sin and do actions against His words, the Lord is already extending his arms, inviting us to come back into his embrace. This is why, we should be thankful, for, despite our sins, the Lord is always around to love us. Even if He is sometimes forgotten.
"This is also the celebration because he gave us a chance to have a new life despite our impurity and sins."
Lastly, the mass celebrated the day by looking back on the past and celebrating a new day of beginnings. As we look back on our journey, let us also look back on our relationship with God. Are we ready to change and become better people?
"In this new day of beginning, let us always choose the right thing. Every transition is a crisis, but every crisis is a choice."
After the mass, the Kumpisalang Bayan was held, where many parishioners received the sacrament of penance and reconciliation. Priests from different parishes and religious congregations came to hear the confession of our brothers and sisters.
