“Stay vigilant and always open your heart for Him.”
Last November 29, 2023, the Black Nazarene once again visited the Holy Family Parish. Before settling into the Parish, the images’ started the ‘Pasanan’ at the Holy Family Chapel at 7:00 am.
On December 2, 2023, the traditional ‘Pasanan’ occurred around the community of the Parish that started at 3:00 pm and lasted for approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.
For the last day of the Black Nazarene at the Parish on December 3, 2023, there was a send-off mass at 6:00 pm led by our parish priest Rev. Fr. Fernando Cornejo, and the last ‘Pahalik’ to the image before its return to Quiapo Church.
“The season of advent is the time to cleanse ourselves.”
In Fr. Fhyrdz’s homily, he advised everyone, in preparation for the birth of Jesus that we must practice these three deeds: (1) Seek out the purpose and aspiration of God, (2) How he’s coming, and (3) Ascertain his arrival for our judgment.
“Let’s not neglect to open our hearts to Him.”
Before the mass ended, he thanked everyone from the Black Nazarene itself, the parishioners, the Parish Pastoral Council, the devotees of the Black Nazarene, and the Hijos for the successful and smooth flow of the ‘Pasanan’; from the pick-up up to the drop-off of the image at the Quiapo Church.
