For the 4th Family Faith Faith Formation Seminar, Rev. Fr. Mark Anthony Ramos discussed about The Liturgy.
"The Liturgy is our life, a part of our life. It is a part of us being Catholics."
According to Fr. Ramos, it is the center of all the sacraments. The liturgy is for our worship to the Lord and it makes us holy. When we pray, we enclose our prayer to Christ. When we do the liturgy, when we offer our praise and worship to God, we follow. We do what God asks us to do.
"Jesus is not found in the word, He is not even found in the book. He is found in the proclaimed word."
The liturgy is an extension of our salvation. In our every day life, it is an extension of the deliverance of the Lord to us because the salvation doesn't just end in cavalry.
Fr. Ramos explained that the liturgy is sacred because when we celebrate a mass, it is a reminder for us that we are speaking in God's behalf. The altar is the most important part of the church, for it represents Christ himself. It is also important to practice the sign of the cross for us to see the unseen Lord.
When we experience the liturgy of the church, we can feel the real presence of Christ.
On his closing remarks, Fr. Ramos stated that at the end of the liturgy, there should be a change in our heart and life.
