Parishioners and church workers gathered to begin the Holy Week with the observance of Palm Sunday.
Hundreds of parishioners attended the first part of the liturgy began at Holy Rosary Chapel as Father Ferdinand Delatado led the blessing of the palm and procession going to the different kubol. The first kubol was at the place of Dela Cruz family, next at Home Point Community, then Bonanza Community, and lastly Daliva Family.
Children were dressed as angels dancing and scattered flowers, as women church workers laying fabrics on the road going to our parish, imitating the excited people of Jerusalem.
Fr. Ferdie tackled in his homily that “were starting the holy week, reminding us that the lord love us unconditionally. This year, we are celebrating the year of the youth, and we should become 'BAGETS'. B- balik loob sa Diyos, it is the chance to see and experience the forgiveness that will be given to us by God. A- alis galit, alis kasalanan, lets eliminate the anger in our hearts that we are forgiven so we can forgive others too. G- gawin ang kabutihan, we are expected to do good things to our fellowmen by helping, giving food to the needy. E- ehemplo ng pag-ibig, show love to the people around you; in family, loved ones and friends. T- tanggal bisyo. S- sakripisyo.
He reminded us that this holy week, we will do many sacrifices, give some time to reminisce how God loves us. Let’s be a ‘BAGETS’ this holy week.
