He is the Light to Our Life Paved with Darkness

On the 8th of December 2022, our Parish held its yearly Advent Recollection presided over by Fr. Ferdinand Santos, MBA. Ph.D.

Fr. Ferdinand’s talk emphasized the story of Joseph and Mary, who put their trust in God by accepting His mission for them to bring Jesus into the world even though they were unaware of the consequences.

"Our journey through life is paved with uncertainties, but we must live as Joseph and Mary did, who trusted and believed in Him."

He encouraged everyone to follow God's plans and the direction He leads them, as this will direct everyone to the right path.

He also mentioned that the pandemic's happenings may be compared to Israel's hardships, which include job loss, starvation, and drought as well as casualties that can be described as darkness in life. However, the Israelites didn't give up and continued to ask Him for strength and guidance.

“Whatever happens, He won't leave us behind; He'll answer our prayers, no matter how long it takes, and He'll always be by our side.”

This recollection enlightens everyone that regardless of difficulties life may present, a strong faith in God will shine a light in the shadows.
