God's plan is the best plan, Fr. Relucio

For the fifth day of Simbang Gabi, Rev. Fr. Glen Relucio presided the mass. His homily is about the people whom God used to deliver his teachings. In the first reading, Fr. Relucio asked why David was chosen to be the king even though he's the youngest among his siblings and he was just a shepherd. On the second reading, he asked why Saint Paul was chosen to deliver His word even though he's a pagan. Lastly, he asked why Mary was chosen to be Jesus' mother even though she's from Galilea, a place for outcasts and sinners. Fr. Relucio answered these questions by saying God has a different way of thinking than ordinary people. God chose David, Paul, and Mary because He knew they were humble, albeit in their past. God overlooked those things because He knew they can fulfill His plans, even though ordinary people can't fathom why God used those people. He planned to save us all, but that should not be the end of it. Fr. Relucio reiterated that we should preach to others what has been preached to us, to spread the word of God. Another point Fr. Relucio made was that God's plan is the best plan. If your plan is not what God wanted, it will not happen. We should know the will of God and trust it because it will lead us to our happiness.
