On the fifth day of Simbang Gabi, guest priest Fr. Pio Herrera from Marian Seminary presided the mass in the parish.
Fr. Pio talked about how we should follow the will of the Lord just like what Mary did when she carried Jesus on her womb even though she’s a virgin. He said that we all have the freedom to decide what we should do. The intentions of the Lord is pure, He is not tainted with evil, that’s why we should obey Him. The Lord loves us selflessly, the only thing He wants for our welfare is to use our freedom to choose what is right and good.
He also pointed out that we should not blame the Lord of our wrongdoings. The person that we should blame is ourselves because we have our own will and freedom to choose between what is good and bad. The Lord wants us to be happy, but it seems that the happiness we know comes only from pleasurable things. Fr. Pio stated that in every decision that we will make, we should ask and pray to Him so that we will know what He wants for us to fulfill.
