Yesterday, December 30, 2022, the Holy Family Parish celebrated the Feast of the Holy Family with the theme "Families Around the Word." Different ministries and chapel organizations participated in the Karakol Street Dance, which started at the Holy Family Chapel while wearing costumes representing their chosen countries.
After the street dance, a dedication mass was held at 6:00 PM, which was presided over by Fr. Joselito Martin. In his homily, he focused on three points: how we accept Jesus in our lives, how we meet and encounter him every day, and how we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family as a sign of letting Jesus in ourselves, not just in the church but in our homes.
"Along with the celebration of thanksgiving for continuous support for the church of the Holy Family, I hope that God will also find a place in our own home where Jesus is continued to be found."
As a continuation of the celebration, there was also a Gabi of Parokya where the ministries and chapel organizations that participated in the Karakol Street Dance prepared their dance routines for the dance competition, showing the culture of the countries they represented. Aside from that, there were intermission performances by the parish youth ministry, Mariah Erika Manlangit, and the parish pastoral council.
Thanks to the generous sponsors of our parish, many parishioners also enjoyed the raffle and won different prizes like coffee, rice, electric fans, and a washing machine. The ministries and chapel organizations with outstanding costumes were also awarded a cash prize, and the winner of the competition, Resurrected Christ Chapel, was awarded ₱10, 000.
The feast ended with a fireworks display that dazzled everyone at the event.
Thank you to everyone who joined the Feast of the Holy Family celebration. God bless your homes and your families. Viva la Familia!
