Church welcomed nine newly baptized Catholics at Easter Vigil Mass

Hundreds of parishioners attended the Easter Vigil Mass last Black Saturday. The liturgy began with the blessing of the fire and lighting of the paschal candle. The mass was lead by our parish priest Fr. Ferdinand C. Delatado. In his homily, he told us that in Jesus’s resurrection, we are seeking for light, and that light that we desire is Jesus, which is what the paschal candle is represents of. On the other hand, the candles that the parishioners are holding are a representation of the foundation of the church.  Fr. Ferdie reminded us that Easter is the promise of the Lord to everyone that He will never leave us. Before he ended his homily, on behalf of all the adults including himself, he apologizes to the youth for they have been a bad example and that he hopes that the youth will not do the same mistake that they did. He ended his homily by telling everybody to spread the word of God Nine new Catholics from Iglesia ni Cristo, Born Again Christians and Muslims were baptized and received confirmation. The church welcomed Marco Gabines, Shiela Gabines, Jimbo Gavines, Cheena Almazan, Rose Maire Dela Rosa, Mayanne Sanalila, Remedios Villona, Danreb Sonalila, and Levi Miranda. Parishioners and church workers renewed their promise of baptism.
